Well whaddaya know?

I’m a Chevrolet Corvette!

You’re a classic – powerful, athletic, and competitive. You’re all about winning the race and getting the job done. While you have a practical everyday side, you get wild when anyone pushes your pedal. You hate to lose, but you hardly ever do.

Take the Which Sports Car Are You? quiz.

Taggers roaming the neighborhood

One of my i-chums who blogs at Dog Is My Co-Pilot called me out on her blog the other day and asked me to play a little game we’ll call “Name That Fib.” Here’s how it works: I tell seven things about me, one of them is a lie. Your job is to pick the lie. Think you can do it?

  1. I obsess over having orange highlighter pens on hand. I’ve been known stop studying and drive to an office supply store if I don’t have one on hand.
  2. Occasionally, I pretend-type on a desk, a lap or in the air as someone is talking, just to see if I can keep up with the conversation.
  3. I could eat beans and tortilas with salsa every day. For. The. Rest. Of. My. Life. Continue reading

Classic Timewasters for the Whole Family: The Wheel of Lunch

I subscribe to Lifehack, an excellent time management site based on the Getting Things Done principles. Among all of the other time and money principles aimed at beating The Man at his game, *life hacks for those not in the know, I find this, the Wheel of Food!

Here’s how it works: you type in your zip code and then type in what kind of food options you are seeking, “lunch,” “dinner” and presumably other variables like “coffee,” “taqueria” etc. You are then directed to a giant wheel where you get to spin for lunch options. There are even wildcard options like “skip lunch,” “invite one more” and of course “spin again.” The wheel has little handles that allow for all the free spins your desk job will allow, but it takes a while to master.

* I read some of the stuff at Lifehack and I have to chuckle. Long before they were hip, many of these life hacks are simply called growing up lower middle class.
