I wanted a serious title for version 2.0 of my blog. I cruise a lot of heady theology sites and considered something in Greek or a passage from the Authorized Version.
While looking for URLs that haven’t been taken, I started entering any silly thing that popped into my head. Months earlier, my wife and I were laughing about Barry Manilow having to cancel his tour because he had hip surgery. I don’t know why this popped into my head while I was typing in deliberately obscure URLs, but it did. It was only a short, downward thread of association to his hit “I Write the Songs,” which quickly morphed into “I Write The Blogs.”
I planned on getting rid of the title numerous times but my wife thought it was so funny, I left it.
So, for better or for worse, my blog is titled “I Write The Blogs.”
